After a successful pilot phase, our SKOLA+ programme started its first full academic year in September 2024. The SKOLA+ programme aims to help Ukrainian children to overcome the educational backlogs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the war against Ukraine.

The programme continues to be present in 5 schools, but has also expanded its team of dedicated teachers and its camp of interested and motivated children.

Through the generous donations of our supporters, 23 teachers in 4 rural schools in western Ukraine and one school near the front line provide extra-curricular activities in 13 subjects to hundreds of children every day of the week.

Teachers participating in the programme receive regular equipment and teaching aids and a modest honorarium. In return, in their spare time, they organise and deliver extra catch-up sessions for schoolchildren, many of whom have families who cannot afford expensive private tutoring.

The SKOLA+ programme is very popular, and our aim is to make it as widely available as possible, to develop it so that as many children as possible have the opportunity to enjoy the otherwise fundamental human right of free and decent learning.
