Today, February 24, marks a somber anniversary: four years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This escalation continues the conflict that began in 2014 and has defined the lives of millions, particularly since 2022. Crises and wars deprive children and young people of what should be fundamental: security, education, and prospects for a better future. In Ukraine, entire generations have had their daily lives disrupted — schools destroyed or damaged, university courses repeatedly interrupted, and classes held in basements or online during power outages.

For many, a reliable educational routine has become the exception. Yet education provides stability, fostering resilience, strengthening social cohesion, and laying the groundwork for rebuilding a country.

It was this conviction that led to the founding of Science4People e.V. in 2022. Since then, our central focus has been on providing reliable educational support: providing children with structured, consistent learning opportunities to close gaps caused by disrupted schooling and restore confidence in their education.

Around this core, we offer additional programs that support the children’s well-being and personal growth. Sports and team activities help them stay active and healthy, theater and art stimulate creativity and social skills, and safe communal spaces give them moments of normality.

We pay special attention to regions near the frontlines, striving to reach children who face the greatest hardships, such as with a small group of children in Marhanez.

The need remains immense, and many children are still waiting for support. Yet we look ahead with determination and remain by their side — perhaps with your help?

Together, we can help make a brighter future possible.
