Introducing ART+: A New Space for Creativity and Well-Being

To mark World Mental Health Day on October 10, we are introducing ART+, a new programme dedicated to the emotional well-being and personal development of children and young people in Ukraine.

Over the past years, Science4People, together with our Ukrainian partner organisation Tabula Rasa for the Future Generation, has continued to expand its support for children affected by the war. Through SKOLA+, we help them continue their education and discover new interests. SPORT+ offers opportunities for physical activity, teamwork, and shared experiences. Now, with ART+, we are adding another dimension to our work: a dedicated space for creativity, self-expression, and emotional well-being.

ART+ offers creative sessions where children and young people can experiment with different artistic techniques, explore their emotions, and develop important social and personal skills. Painting, drawing, and other creative activities provide opportunities to express feelings and experiences that are sometimes difficult to put into words.

The idea behind ART+ is not to teach children how to make perfect art. It is to give them room to try things out, make their own decisions, and discover what they enjoy. At the heart of the programme is the belief that every child should have a place where they can simply be themselves and feel accepted and supported.

With ART+, we are taking another step towards supporting children not only in their learning and development, but also in their emotional well-being. Because helping young people thrive means nurturing their creativity, resilience, and belief in themselves.
