We are pleased to welcome Umai Chibbaro Leiva as our new Communications Officer at Science4People.
Umai is a mathematics student with a strong interest in science communication and public outreach. Alongside her academic background, she has gained experience in public relations through her work at Attoworld, where she supports communication and outreach efforts within a scientific environment.
Umai shared her motivation for joining Science4People: “I strongly believe that access to education and opportunities should be preserved in times of crisis. Having had the chance to visit Ukraine in the past, I feel a personal connection to the mission of S4P. I want to contribute by helping bring more visibility to this important work”.
In her role at Science4People, Umai will serve as a key storyteller and media connector, helping to strengthen the organization’s presence within the Bavarian scientific community and beyond. She will focus on increasing awareness of S4P’s mission and highlighting the work of scientists and Nobel laureates.
