On World Wish Day, the international day dedicated to wishes, we took the opportunity to listen to the voices of the children participating in our SKOLA+ and SPORT+ projects in Ukraine. On this special day, we asked the children about their greatest wishes – and their answers touched us deeply.
The wishes were as diverse as the dreams of the children: Some dream of becoming doctors, others aspire to be builders or professional volleyball players. But one wish stood out and was repeated over and over again: The wish for peace. The hope that the war in Ukraine will finally come to an end was the strongest and most urgent wish voiced by these children.
Amid the harsh realities many of these children face in Ukraine, it is crucial to hear and support their dreams and hopes. We firmly believe that every wish – especially the one for peace and a better future – should come true.
We continue to work towards providing these children with a perspective and hope through our projects. Every single wish, big or small, is a step towards a better world. May all the wishes of these children one day come true.
