Every year, within the framework of the charitable initiative “No Child is a Stranger” the NGO “Tabula Rasa for the Future Generation”, together with the local government and the Zdybanka Youth Center, organise a festive event for the children of the Children’s Home located in the Batiovo, Ukraine. This is a day where children’s emotions, sincere smiles, and the feeling of care, so deeply deserved by every child, take center stage.

This year, the celebration took place in a warm and truly fairytale-like atmosphere. Thanks to the support of the Representation of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Transcarpathian Region and the assistance of the Academy of Culture and Arts, a festive program was prepared for the children. It included a vibrant theatrical performance based on Neil Gaiman’s fairy-tale novella “Coraline” and Christmas carols that filled the space with light, joy, and anticipation of a miracle. The kids followed the stage with fascination, applauded sincerely, and happily joined in singing along with the carolers.

A particularly special moment of the evening was the care for the warmth and comfort of every child. Thanks to the support of our reliable partner Science4People e.V., headed by the 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics, Ferenc Krausz, the children received new winter footwear, warm socks, and sweet St. Nicholas treats. In a cozy fitting corner, each pair found its little owner along with smiles and genuine joy.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt, home-like pizza-party, fresh fruit, and juices, which the children happily shared with one another. Laughter and joyful voices filled the air around the shared table, and the space was imbued with a true sense of family warmth.

We sincerely thank everyone who became part of this charitable initiative. Thanks to you, children’s hearts are warmed by care and filled with trust and faith in kindness.
